Howard Schultz Review | About Howard Schultz

If you ever had a latte or a warm blueberry yogurt muffin from Starbucks then you must know who Howard Schultz is.  Howard Schultz is the CEO of Starbucks and he is responsible for the way the beverage industry has evolved in the tea and coffee business.

Before Starbucks ever was started, Schultz never ever heard of a latte until he visited Italy and drank his first cup.  It was this experience that brought him the idea that everyone in America should at least try this type of coffee compared to the boring black no sugar kind of coffee.

When I first discovered in the early 1980s the Italian espresso bars in my trip to Italy, the vision was to re-create that for America – a third place that had not existed before. Starbucks re-created that in America in our own image; a place to go other than home or work. We also created an industry that did not exist: specialty coffee.

Howard Schultz Review | Conclusion

According to Forbes magazine Howard Schultz is listed at number 227 on the world’s richest billionaires with a net worth of $3.1 Billion dollars.  The Starbucks chairman and CEO is in his 60’s and is recognized as a respected self-made billionaire.  I think Schultz success story is very interesting and it does have that drama a bit to it since he was the one guy who at first the original founders of Starbucks thought he was out of his league to introduce Italian coffee to the marketplace.  Today his idea catapulted the beverage industry and now he is the most influential businessman of the 21st century for beverage entrepreneurs.
