In this Receipt Hog Review, I am going to share with you one of my favorite cash back rebate apps that pay you for your grocery receipts.
Do you own a smartphone and go grocery shopping on a regular basis? If you answered yes to both questions then you must have heard about getting cash for your receipts with Receipt Hog App.
We live in a digital age where most people own a smartphone, laptop, or a tablet. The cool thing about owning these mobile devices is we can actually do things much faster than we would back in the 90’s.
Nowadays it’s about convenience and how fast you can access your emails instead of writing a letter or mailing a greeting card.
Playing video games like Candy Crush or Minecraft versus playing a Nintendo. What about making money, though? Yup, you guessed it, you can even make money with these digital devices and I will share one way you can as a shopping consumer.
Receipt Hog Review | My Personal Receipt Hog Story
One night back in October 2014 I was watching a very interesting episode of the show Extreme Couponing and fell in love with a team of ladies by the name of Heather Wheeler and Joanie Demer who are founders of the website TheKrazyCouponLady.
What’s great about this website is how these two friends love shopping for the best and lowest deals for almost everything a person needs in the home.
I love this website they put together it is where I got my first crash course on how to be an extreme couponing mom myself. Although I don’t buy huge stockpiles of stuff in my home like they do I learned enough to know how to save money as a smart shopper.
I noticed they were using not just paper coupons but digital couponing apps on their smartphone and earning money for submitting their opinions with their receipts.
Whoa! hold on a minute, cash for your receipts? You mean to tell me this whole time that I have been shopping and getting receipts from places like the grocery store and my gas I can make a few extra bucks for my experiences.
I just had to find out how it all works because once I know then I can share this with other people who love couponing as well.
Before using these types of rebate apps, I would normally toss my receipts and coupons in the trash.
Not anymore! Me throwing away a receipt now is like getting rid of a $10 bill for each one. My mindset and shopping habits have evolved to now saving every receipt, scanning my items barcodes and earn cash back every month.
The first time I used Receipt Hog App on my android I was clueless as to what I was doing. Thank goodness there were helpful video tutorials that taught me how to properly use these smartphone apps.
Once I uploaded the app and scanned my first receipt which was a grocery receipt from Stop & Shop I earned 2 chances to play this slot game and I won 10 coins. I will explain in greater detail of how does receipt hog work.
Receipt Hog Review | What Is Receipt Hog?
Receipt Hog is a free mobile app that consumers can use to scan their shopping receipts and convert them into coins which can be cashed out as an Amazon Gift Card or direct deposit to your Paypal account.
All you do is scan your receipts from specific stores that you normally buy from and submit for qualification for the token to spin the Hog Slot Machine, earn coins, and redeem for a payment through PayPal or an Amazon eGift card.
The reason they are able to pay the user for this type of app is because they are partnered with a market research company that works in conjunction with leading consumer brands and retailers.
The data that is taken from your receipt combined with your survey response is submitted anonymously and used for their market research.
You have nothing to worry about when it comes to your identity and privacy since Receipt Hog does not sell your personal data to marketers.
Every receipt earns you an entry into the Receipt Hog Sweepstakes drawing where you could be the winner of 20 coins, 200 coins, or even 5,000 coins.
Personally, I have earned over $300 in cash back rebates just from using this app since October of 2014. These past 4 months I haven’t cashed out by a personal choice because I wanted to see which level I could reach and cash out more than the usual $5 or $10 at a time.
As of today’s date February 16, 2016, right now I made it to level 15 which is how many weeks I have been feeding receipts to my piggy. I won 20 extra coins for January’s sweepstakes so I thought that was fun!
The way the weeks are ranked are based on the receipts you submit for each given week. There is a one-time bonus every time you level up and the higher the level the bigger the bonus.
Week 1 1st-7th
Week 2 8th-14th
Week 3 15th-21st
Week 4 22nd- End of the month
Receipt Hog Review | How Does It Work?
There is a cute pink pig on the upper right corner (Piggy Bank) that changes every time you submit a receipt and earn rewards.
Here are the steps to get started using Receipt Hog:
1. Download Receipt Hog App when asked to input a referral ID enter strul573

4. Rate your experience with the quick survey that pops up.
5. Press done.
*Allow at least 24 hours to process your receipts and then log back into your app to see your coins and spins. Sometimes if you upload too many it can take a few days so just a heads up so you know.
If you are ready to withdraw your cash to PayPal like I do or Amazon eGift Card then here is the pay chart:

$10-$50 = 10 coins
$50-$100 = 15 coins
$100+ = 20 coins
Once you earn 100 coins from Coin-Receipts within a week, every additional receipt will earn 5 coins plus an entry in the sweepstakes which carries over to the following week.
Spin Category will earn you spins for the Hog Slot machine for chances to win a variety of prizes like trips, cash, and more coins from any of the stores below:

Missing detailed information like store name, date, items, and subtotal.
Receipt hog is available both in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Receipt Hog Review | Conclusion
In conclusion, if you been reading other blog posts about Receipt Hog Scam, it’s really not a scam because the very people that write stuff like that only wanted to make money and expected the app to make them rich. The app is for couponing and pays the consumer for their shopping experience in data that’s all folks!
Since becoming a regular user of Receipt Hog App, I noticed lots of great updates to the application and I love how their website has helpful answers on their support page. I feel great to be able to share this app with other shoppers who want to save money when they shop and earn some extra cash.
This is not some type of network marketing opportunity to run a business with but you can take the extra funds and put it towards your marketing budget if you own a business. Â Every person that joins gets their own user referral ID and when that person who was referred joins for free and redeems their first receipt you earn a bonus $5-$10 for each person.
The bonuses get announced monthly by text message to your phone so be on the lookout for those so you can share with the people you know who would enjoy this app and get extra money for their receipts too!
I trust you enjoyed and learned how it pays to snap receipts with Receipt Hog and please leave a comment below of how your experience has been using it too.
See you on the next post!
